That’s a lot of red. Moments like this I realise what a gift a photograph is. It’s just a box with a few toys inside. And there is nothing in their eyes but pure joy and excitement, nothing but happiness.
Wonderful little boys. Ben, protective big brother, my mate, the online gamer, growing into a handsome smart young man. Flynn, the solid little tike with his ‘coz coz coz’ arguments, hanging off my leg, the… Read the rest

Rain, wind, cold. Awesome.. Hopefully the first of many. Thanks to Leighton, my work buddy for the company. Uhh, man date.

Loading Leighton up with coffee for the run. Cunning. 6.00am start? Too early!

Lining up. Lotta people.

Where’s Wally…

Done. Wet, cold, tired, and still smiling.… Read the rest

2000 was the year I got to fulfill a goal (albiet shortened version) and travel to see some of the worlds most historic and beautiful places. I went to see art. And culture. And ruins. But while I loved standing in the square where Da Vinci painted, see the leaning tower of Piza and walk the streets of Venice, it was the people I was able to do it with that made my holiday.

So what is going on? It kinda started with a few problems with the world ecomony, then the odd little war between friends. Then the twin towers got nailed, a lot of innocent people died, and the US thought spanking a few backsides would do the trick – just like in the movies. Which the ‘radical’ islamists totally loved.
And sudddenly I can’t draw a scribble of a beard without some stranger sending me a… Read the rest

Ordinary kiwis. People from every day walks of life. People like me, people like you. Packed their lunches, said goodbye to family on Tuesday as with every work day. And faced probably the most devastating traumatic day of their lives. Many have lived, miraculously. Many have died. Some may still be trapped awfully beneath debris.
A normal day. A work day. Nothing happens but phone calls, deadlines and coffee. But this day was different, and… Read the rest
