Home at last

One fast week of hard slog and awe inspiring scenery is over. Queenstown is a beautiful place.  The time with my parents was special.  The Routeburn track was a great experience, rain or not.  But the flights home couldn’t end fast enough.  A mist covered mountain as you round a bend is something to behold but it pales to watching your children run across a sun speckled park.  Tripping and falling, laughing.  You can almost see the sparkles under their feet.  Not the first time it’s brought a tear to my eye, love so great it hurts.  Just beautiful,  trying new things, the simple wonder of a cycle stand, testing themselves, expanding their skills.  It takes your breath away.  Ben, Luca, Flynn,  I love you dearly, desperately.
