Dreams come true

I think one of the greatest gifts of being a child is that you have no limits on your hopes, dreams, imagination. Everything is possible. As you grow, you learn the sometimes sad and harsh truths that not everything is achievable, wanting something desperately isn’t always enough. Probably the greatest challenge we all face as we progress in life is not to place limits on achieving our dreams and goals, or to let others do that for us. Life was meant to a challenge, and without that we would never feel the exhilaration of reaching those things we want in life. Successful people stand up and try. And fail. As we all do. But they get up again. And learn. And succeed. Having someone believe in you is a wonderful gift. But you have to believe in yourself first.

My thoughts came from this inspiring piece of video. Paul Potts, a very average quiet guy with self esteem issues recently had a crack at a british talent show, Britain’s Got Talent, created by Simon Cowell. It was obvious not much was expected from him. Well.. take a look.

The twins

And I don’t mean boobs. These little boys were left on the doorstep about 5 months ago and have been making me love them ever since. I may be biased but I think they’re pretty gorgeous. I don’t know where they get that from.
